So, the weekend passed, and ALCL happened. Unfortunately for it, it didn't know what hit it! xD

I didn't arrive until 2pm, since I slept in with ~jasian86, no, not THAT way, we're both just lazy asses! xD I'd be boasting otherwise! xDD Anyway, we made our way up and got Maccy D's, then got a little lost less than 100 yards away from where we needed to be. =_=;; This time, it wasn't me! xD Okay, maybe a bit. -_-;

Arrived at ALCL only to have my ears murdered by a couple of harpies, uh, I mean ~SummerRaine and *the-xiii-hour yelling about a wager they made about the time of our arrival. =_= Lissy won... =_=;;

Basically, since I'm going to summarise here, we played video games; I played on Stepmania and Rock Band [not being shy about my singing! xD], Jay, Lissy and Caz played Dissidia, and ~Richard-Spencer played and WON the Street Fighter Tournament! ^_^

I had another chance with ~CosplayFever in my Nero cosplay; Rob took me outside once again to try for some more Nero photos since lens trouble at the ~CosplayFever launch spoiled photos of a few of us in an unfortunate case of technical difficulty. xD Hopefully they will turn out well; I had a good time with the shoot, and am confident there should be at the very least ONE good shot out of the lot of them! xD The wind wan't very kind that day! xD

Shortly after going back inside, Lissy, Jay and me continued our discussions of my SUPER-SECRET cosplay for the Cosplay Ball next november [which Pete of ~CosplayFever tried, in vain, to get peeks at diagrams of! xD] And then Jay took me outside to try and get some photos of Nero himself. [They are the ones I just uploaded to my dA! ]

Later on, I watched the 'Dub that Anime' game, which was quite a laugh to watch, actually. I entered the Masquerade, milked my turn a bit and took 3rd place! xD Won a set of Letraset markers and a Yaoi book. Admired some EPIC cosplays that were there, and was admired in turn to which I was very embarrassed... >w>; Saw many familiar faces, of whom I was glad to see as always, and generally had a very good time.

I must say, for the first time this was run, it wasn't a bad go, and there was a healthy turnout! ^_^ Aside for a couple of organisational errors in terms of technology, it was a nice laid back event; I only wish I sat in on the anime screenings. v_v Didn't spend anything at the dealers; I didn't take any money to spend! xD

Although, when you pre-paid, you got 2 tokens worth £1 each on the AL merchandise; and since my friends didn't want theirs in the end, I ended up with 8, to which I put £1 and got a AL teeshirt. ^_^

All in all, had fun and felt accomplished. Time well spent.
